The American Dollar keeps falling drastically in the world market, any one that follows FOREX can tell you that.
Now our POTUS wants to increase minimum wage to $15.00 by 2015, is he serious? $3,1200.00 for unskilled labor is robbery!
Please understand I do not want to come off sounding like Ebeneezer, but we are talking about entry level unskilled pay,
most companies, as a matter of fact "ALL" companies that I have worked for in my life have given raises after 90 days at the end of the probationary period.
So if unskilled labor is going to go for $15.00 then what is skilled labor going to go for?, . . . what is that going to do to the business?, . . . what is it going to do to the economy??? I think every one has a good answer for those basic questions that the POTUS must have seriously overlooked, . . . or did he.
What this country needs is a severe overhaul to recycle the dollar, and what that means is we need to be aware of where our dollar is going every time we spend it. Are we giving it away to foreign corporations and bankers or spending it locally to the mom and pop shop down the road.
Every time you spend a dollar YOU are in control of who benefits from it. Our country is in shambles, we are in the worst and longest recession this country has ever witnessed, the housing market has bottomed out, State and Federal Governments are having a hard time making ends meet, while at the same time all this is going on over here, over there growth seems to be exploding and business booming. So where is over there you ask, well China for starters and then just take a look at any middle eastern country, but don't take my word for it just look at the foreign exchange rate of the dollar compared to these and other places.
If you are one of the people complaining about price increases then maybe you should consider where you shop and who ultimately benefits from your money. In order to Recycle the Dollar everyone needs to shop on a grass roots level using small independent companies to buy from. Companies that have their roots in the community, Companies that are just people trying to make it in a tough economy as it is with out being forced into compulsorily government mafia tactics.
Forcing companies into paying extortion prices for unskilled labor is not the way to revitalize the economy. Who benefits the most from this wage increase?, not the companies, not the consumer as all the prices are going to go up, but the Government. Yes the Government this is just a tricky way to increase taxes and get the business's that are trying to keep this economy together to pay the bill, as it will fall to them and the employee to now pay more taxes based on this new higher standard of living.
Skill should determine pay and should be negotiated before employment between employer and employee, the Federal Government needs to moderate these negotiations as in guidelines but not illegally restrict an employers and employees right to negotiate a fair price for labor cost.
If an individual feels he is not being paid fairly he is free to go, after all this is still America, it is not like we are indentured servants or anything. People need to wake up and do for themselves because once the big gov gets on board there is no getting off.
