Looking to represent Florida's largest Congressional District by land mass, encapsulating the bulk of Florida's vast natural resources, extended over 19 seperate and diverse Counties I felt it important that I not only needed to give the people of these counties a voice in Washington D.C., but a voice for Florida herself and how attacking climate change locally is our first line of defense.
Florida has so much that needs to be protected, and we can not let partisan politics, or more accurately put "the duopoly monopoly" stand in the way of our combined future. As I travel back and forth from all these great counties talking to so many individuals, regarding everything from taxes to ya, you guessed it, the weather, one thing always comes up. But I found it ironic, and sad, that after introducing myself and that I was running as a U S Representative, their immediate follow up question was something like, "You mean like Trey Goudy, Jim Jordan, Ted Cruz, and like Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, AOC they call her and her squad, you mean like that?" After politely (and briefly) mentioning that technically not all of those mentioned are Congresspeople, some are Senators and yet others are now news anchors I quickly love to ask the immediate follow up question and that is, "Yes, so you understand the position I am running for, do you know who your current Representative is?" and 99.9% of them froze like a deer in headlights and after a moment would all reply, "Why no, I don't believe I do." or something to that effect. Politics has become a theater show with only the soundbites from the highlights make it to the mass population and even then it is diluted down to partisan propaganda depending on the media outlet spinning it. So I then proceed to tell them that they are located in Florida District 2 and Dr. Neal Dunn was currently representing this district. I then proceed to tell them all the great things Dr. Neal Dunn has done for our Veterans especially and that is when I usually get cut off and asked if I am campaigning for him, my answer is always the same, "Dr. Neal Dunn is a good man, dedicated and intelligent, and if you are Republican then by all means vote Republican, because that is exactly what you know you will get with Congressman Dunn, he is a party partisan player through and through and will always vote with the Republican tide. I personally believe the Republicans as a whole as well as the Democrats have failed us, the American people, letting us down again and again on all the issues that really matter. I do not hold any one individual responsible for becoming a cog in a wheel, but we do need to realize when that wheel is flat and then we need to fix it. One of the biggest problems we all face today in current politics is the extreme volatile swing from the left and the right and this has manifested itself into the two parties so as to render every issue a this or a that us against them scenario and that is exatly NOT how our system was designed to function. You as a citizen were guaranteed representation, yet none of us feel like the current politicians represent any of us, this is probably because it was done by design as we as citizens are under represented. This was initially done when the duopoly monopoly decided to shut every one out and limit Congress to 425 seats even though our Constitution spells out specifically how to calculate out more seate to compensate for the growth of our nation. And in addition to arbitrarily and unconstitutionally limiting it's size one of the Parties is actively advocating for open boarders and for the right for illegal aliens to vote in our State and Federal elections. All if this dilutes your vote and renders you silent and voiceless. I am here to fix that and to restore the voices back to the people. Dr, Neal Dunn is not my adversary, he is doing a great job, Florida as a whole is highly under represented, and because of it we all lose as we are now forced into two idological stances like two cowboys ready to draw on one another at high noon. Each waiting for the other to make the first move. I for one choose to set a new direction in politics one that is not so divisive, but one that unites and brings us closer together. Over the course of this campaign I will be unveiling my platform and stance on today's issues and am looking forward to sharing in constructive diolog with my collegues so we can resolve at last these trivial issues as the two parties have already proven over and over again it has nothing to do with our differences and opinions as they have flipped and flopped on every issue as long as it suits their current needs at the time. These diversions will be put to rest so we can finally innitiate real Congressional Reform, things people have been demanding yet have fallen upon deaf ears like Term Limits and Financial Accountability for starters. Before I sign off, I want you to trully understand how important our Representation is and why it matters that we have not only the correct representation for us but that we have the correct amount as when our Representation goes up so does our ELECTORAL COLLEGE VOTES. Imagine the Presidential outcomes if the Electoral College was actually fully represented with nonbiased nonpartisan individuals instead of being controlled by the two party system and at times over dominated by one individual party and the partisan political view points it brings with it. It is time for the people to have more than paper or plastic. The two party system is destroying this country in slow motion one Executive Order at a time. The answer is not in destroying our inner cities in protest, or by storming the Capitol building, that is what one does under tyrrany. We live in a Republic and it is time we started cersicing our legal rights and it all starts at the voting booth, so think twice when casting that vote, as ultimately YOU are in control of wheather the 2 party dictatorship stays in power or if we as a free people can break that spell and take back our destiny and the destiny and leadership of the free world!
